I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about how age is just a number and that you can accomplish anything and any age… true, BUT it doesn’t change the fact that we will get worried. Comparing my life with friends who are of the same age or simply thinking about what my college self hoped I’d accomplish. I guess all that matters is that yesterday Cāx is proud of today Cāx, and today Cāx is working hard to build tomorrow Cāx. . Worse advice I get is “don’t worry you’re still young” 🗣my anxiety says I need to worry 🗣my knee tells me I need to worry 🗣 my chronic back pain tells me I should just write my eulogy 😂. . What age was the hardest for you all? Why? How did you deal with it? #mamacax . One of the things I’m most proud of is becoming that person and using mentorship to empower the next generation of women. . Through my recent partnership with the @dove Self-Esteem Project, I have met a remarkable group of women working to create more positive images of women in the media and mentoring young girls. I’m particularly excited about Dove ‘s newest initiative “Girl Collective” which is a network of women and girls who thrive to help raise positive self-esteem everywhere. Allowing women to connect with one another and serve as mentors to girls, while girls benefit from a supportive community of women they can get advice from outside their circle. . Through this network I hope to get more women with disabilities involved in order to support and mentor girls with disabilities- make sure to join the Facebook group (added a link to my story.) #DovePartner #GirlCollective #mamacax .
