Iโ€™ve had a couple of people ask me recently how I got into modelling. To be totally transparent, it was by mistake! I never ever need thought I could be a model because I never saw anyone who looked like me. my first modelling job was modelling tshirts for @yehbwoy after being in one of their music videos (check them out!!), but I was still sceptical about whether I could ever have a future in the modelling industry. It wasnโ€™t until I discovered @nadiaaboulhosn, an amazing fashion blogger and curve model with small boobs and curves like mine, that I knew I could really try and do the damn thing. I wouldnโ€™t be where I am now without her having inspired me to go for it. Representation is SO important – we ALL deserve to feel seen. Brands should be doing better to be more inclusive, and yet, they will always prefer to stay trash and not bother (fuck Victoriaโ€™s Secret!). We deserve better from big brands. And we should never stop shouting at them to do better, because they have the power to do better. Iโ€™ll say it again – WE ALL DESERVE TO FEEL SEEN. Dress is from last season @bynadiaaboulhosn (thereโ€™s a sale on where you can get some gorgeous pieces from $5-$20!) ๐Ÿ“ธ: @katherinemcphotography #plusmodel #curvemodel #ittybittytittycommittee #curves #fashion #style #size16style #bodyacceptance #stylediaries #inbetweeniestyle #goldenconfidence #ootd #honormycurves #loveyourbody #instadaily #fashiondiaries #bodylove #modelonduty #plusisequal #bodypeace #instafashion #curvesreign #glow #streetstyle #fashiongoals #whatiwore #lovethislook

What is something you wish someone told you about body image stuff? For me, I wish someone told me that how I feel is a product of my environment. We LEARN to hate ourselves. We learn that we are flawed. We learn that certain bodies are better than others, and we learn that we must make ourselves smaller. Just because we learn something, doesnโ€™t mean itโ€™s good or benefits us. Our negative self-critic is a product of what we have internalised, what people have told us, and what the media and society shove down our throats. These messages are harmful and do not serve us. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FIT IN ANY BOX. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DIET. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ADHERE TO EUROCENTRIC BEAUTY IDEALS. We donโ€™t have to earn self acceptance or self love, we are already deserving of it. You are inherently enough. So happy to finally be able to show you a picture from this amazing shoot I did with @antidietriotclub and @imogenforte. I love my rolls and cellulite in this picture – I mean wow ๐Ÿ˜ [Kitty is lying on a sofa with a blue and crushed purple velvet blanket wearing black underwear.
