The community objectives for the forests around Callander are these:

1. Leisure and Recreation
   To provide a diversity of opportunities for enjoyment of the outdoors, ranging from quiet contemplation through to active sporting.
2. Habitats and Wildlife
   To provide a rich tapestry of different sustainable habitats, including commercial crops, within which people and the natural world can co-exist for mutual benefit.
3. Education
   To allow locals and visitors, of all ages, to learn and appreciate the role of woodlands in our environment, mindful that woodlands are complex processes continually in change.
