Critical Collaborative Professional Enquiry: A model for Professional Learning
Critical Collaborative Professional Enquiry (CCPE) is a model of professional learning. Its purpose is the development of equitable education practices
that improve pupils’ learning and life experiences (towards closing the poverty-related educational attainment gap). The model’s social justice focus differentiates it from other approaches concerned primarily with instrumental grade increases.
CCPE is shaped around three phases:
- Focusing
- Interrupting
- Sense-making
These phases are underpinned by recent advances in learning theory where the conceptual, theoretical and procedural principles acknowledge the the many actors involved in driving education change.
