Stirling Albion had a first-class performance on Saturday as they hammered Brechin City 5-0. Manager Rutkiewicz, while thrilled with the result, is very aware that this doesn’t make the rest of the season a guaranteed success.
Rutkiewicz said: “To go into our next game thinking that because we had a great performance, capitalized with a great win last time, most certainly does not mean this is an instant button that we press just before kick-off.”
Rutkiewicz is thrilled with Albion’s win but is wary of becoming complacent
The fear of any team gaining a fantastic result is that you can only drop back down. Becoming complacent can cause teams to lose that peak form brought on from hard work.
Stirling Albion are on a three-game unbeaten run and will be trying to uphold the same statistic over the next few weeks. They’re due to play Elgin, Albion Rovers, Stranraer, and Cowdenbeath in the run-up to Christmas.
Sitting are in second place in the league at the moment but the club want to climb even higher, and with results like the one against Brechin City, this certainly seems possible.
