seek support
if you have come to this page because your wellbeing isn’t great.
Mental health issues are not uncommon; they are not a weakness; they can respond to care.
You matter, the world wants and needs you, your mental health doesn’t change that.
Think about this. I walk around with my arm in a sling. It’s very visual and loads of people come up to me and say they are sorry I am suffering. That warmth is genuine and it actually makes me feel a little bit better. I would get that warmth even if they knew that, despite being in my 60s, I hurt my arm taking up skate-boarding.
That’s how mental health issues should be. The difficulty is that we don’t put our brain in a sling so everyone can see. That’s why it is important to talk about how we are feeling.
