Meet the Team!
Nikita Vance is a 21-year-old Journalism and Law student at the University of Stirling. She was born in Northern Ireland, and lived there all her life before moving to Stirling in 2019. Alongside The Stirling Scope, she also writes for The Brig – the university publication – in which she runs her own feature ‘In the Spotlight’ for the Music section.
Katherine Rosenius is a 23-year-old Film and Media Student at the University of Stirling. She was born in Finland, but grew up in Switzerland. She can speak 3 languages – Finnish, Swedish, German and English. After finishing high school in 2018, she took a gap year and and joined the Finnish defence forces. She served in the navy for 1 year as a corporal and helped train new incoming recruits, before moving to Stirling in 2019.
Achilleas Salaveris is a fourth year Film and Media student at the University of Stirling. He was born and raised in Athens, Greece and decided to move to Scotland for studies. He is passionate about photography, and loves travelling and hiking. Aside from being a writer in “The Stirling Scope”, he is the head of Photography in the Photography and Videography Society at the university.
Peter Humfrey is a 31-year-old Journalism student from England whose interests mainly lay in feature and news writing. He is a former News Editor with Brig Newspaper, and has written across a variety of subjects from the 2020 US presidential election, through to men’s issues such as male reactions to miscarriage. His pieces are mainly informed by his personal experiences with homelessness, mental health, and his research for the University of Stirling on care-experienced persons.
