Hello fellow bloggers!

This is my first ever blog. What does “Blog” actually stand for?When asking the Google, Wikipedia has a good description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog.

Personally, I am not a fan of social media. Working in media and comms means that I have SO MUCH to constantly to scan and read and digest and take in and analyse and there are just not enough hours in the day to do this as well as the rest of my job! With the advent of social media it means that now there is even more info to keep track of, analyse and monitor and also more communication channels to manage and monitor. However, I do like it for keeping in touch with people easily and it is a good way to keep track of what is going on with them. In addition, LinkedIn is proving to be a very valuable source of information and where I can keep a track of what interests me professionally.

What does blogging mean to me personally? Perhaps giving myself a voice and being heard. That however, comes in my view with a word of caution as I presume that whatever I post can be read by whomever out there in the world and it can never be deleted.. that is quite a scary notion so I better not write anything I may look back and regret!
