Stirling University students protested through the atrium last night in response to the University approving a talk from an Israeli diplomat. The march was led by students from the Socialist and Labour societies and it continued to Logie lecture theatre – where the speaker was due to give a lecture.
The main message of the protest was to shut the talk down, free Palestine and end the siege on Gaza. Israel has been condemned by the UN for their excessive use of force against Palestinian citizens.
Since protests began in Gaza in March, Israeli forces have killed 214 Palestinians and wounded more than 18,000.
