An Independent Sovereign State
What happens in a country where people will not get any freedom or independence of living life of their own? If there is inequality among people? If the wealth is not distributed equally and fairly? Where most of people starve?
The society needs to be independent and equality amongst all is the major need of any country. The society should be considered as an independent sovereign state, giving all rights and freedom to the people lives in the country. The main issues in a country that needs to be focused is Social inequalities, and distribution of wealth, unfair pay rate etc.
Wants to bring a change in the society as well as getting involved in campaigning and political discussions? The best way to do it by joining STIRLING SCOTTISH SOCIALIST PARTY SOCIETY (SSP).
The Scottish Socialist Party Society committed to the socialist principles of freedom, equality, fairness and challenges to poverty. The society believes in an independent Scotland, where people are elected under sovereign of the country, where wealth in a country should be equal and fair so that no one struggle to fulfill their basic requirements such as paying electricity bills, foods, shelter etc.
The aim of this society is to make people stand for their rights and live life freely without being pressurized for anything and helps to make a better society for people. The society works for the well-being of people and to make them aware about the situations and the things to cope with it.
The main agenda of this society is keep the country:
- Independent
- Wealthy
- Free from Poverty
- And Equality amongst all.
The key message of the society is to create awareness among people that money is everywhere but not in the right hands. This society is working to build support for the political party and trying to get students involved to make an independent Scotland. It also involves working in an atmosphere where you cannot be oppressed by power. The society is one of political parties which involves in focusing on the betterment of the society or the people living in it. The aim is to build a bigger and healthier society as much as it can Everyone wants to change the society in this way or that way, but in the end everything remains same.
How it will be done?
A lot of work, even outside the university is done by the society. Every week on Wednesday, they take the bus into Stirling and set up stalls where they chat with people, related to the major issues that includes poverty, freedom, equality, basic necessities, or any other issues that can be monetary or non-monetary as well. At this moment, the major topic for the stalls is the minimum wage, campaigning to provide over 10 GBP an hour minimum wage as you need to earn it to survive. Even in future various events will go around like panel discussions, campaigns etc. The society will be organizing trips to participate in political activism, protests as well as educational events.
How to join?
If you are willing and want to get involved in the political discussions for the betterment of the people. All students and non- students are welcome to join the society. There are a lot of opportunities for the members to exchange ideas and provide the suggestions. The membership amount for the Stirling Scottish Socialist Party is 5 GBP.
