Here at The Scotia Scoop, we love our G&Ts. More so – we love entire days dedicated to the bittersweet concoction.

So, for International Gin and Tonic Day – we thought we’d compile a list of our all time favourite Scottish gins (and their ideal garnish). Please read responsibly…

Isle of Harris Gin — 5⋆

Garnish with a thick twist of grapefruit peel.
The bitterness of the grapefruit peel partners with the sea-kelp for a distinctive flavour. Taste the Scottish seaside. Out of this world.

Pickering’s — 5⋆

Cut a round slice of grapefruit into quarters. Two quarters per glass.
A gin that has stuck by its roots. Brewed by gin lovers for gin lovers in the heart of Edinburgh. Traditional recipe. Outstanding quality.

Hendrick’s — 4.5⋆

Garnish with three paper-thin slices of cucumber.
Smooth and sweet, hints of rose and heavy on the cucumber. Weird but familiar. A must try.

Caorunn — 3.5⋆

Garnish with three thin slices of red apple.
‘Caorunn’ means ‘rowan berry’ in Gaelic – one of 11 Scottish botanicals found in this gin. Crisp apple cuts through this dry gin – a bittersweet delight.

*For each of these delicious gins, you’ll want to fill your glass with ice. 50ml gin to 150ml premium tonic for the perfect mix.
