Ever gotten to that point of a night where things start getting philosophical? Have you ever pondered the age old question of what comes next?
Well if you haven’t, but are now intrigued, then Netflix has you sorted.
Regardless of whether you are new to the concept, or an old hat, NBC’s “The Good Place” is a fantasy-comedy series that delves into the eternal ever after. With a diverse cast, and amusing clichés the series has grown into an, at times, heart-warming exploration into ethics, life eternal, and love.
To avoid any spoilers for those of you yet to start the series we will just cover the basics. The story follows five characters and their time in the elitist utopia they find themselves in:
Michael, the architect of this heaven-like utopia played by Ted Branson.
Eleanor, Kristen Bell’s character and the shows lead, who quickly realises she has been sent there by mistake.
Chidi, played by William Jackson Harper, who in life was an ethics professor who struggled so much with choices he could spend over an hour selecting the right muffin.
Tahani Al-Jamil, played by Jameela Jamil, a socialite of the highest order who has lived a life trapped in her sister’s shadow.
Jason, this lovable moron played by Manny Jacinto tags along like an excitedly loyal puppy.
Together with a host of minor characters the show has returned with a third series, already aired in the US, the episodes will roll out on Netflix each Friday, with the first episode available now.
