I wasn’t born a princess, but if the shoe fits.
“Oh, now, just a minute. You must understand, my dear: On the stroke of twelve, the spell will be broken, and everything will be as it was before.” said the Fairy Godmother. I can genuinely say in every girl’s childhood, being a princess is a dream while seeing tons of Disney movies with the end of “…and they lived happily ever after.” Like all Disney’s movies, the story ended up with a happy ending, and dreams do come true.
When you think Disney is a far-far-away kingdom and does not belong to a grown-up, why don’t you think of it from another perspective? For example, how Disney songs have found their way into our lives, I bet, everyone is familiar with “let it go, let it go…”. Then you think of the movie Frozen with a happy little snowman.
Another example about how Disney makes life happier can be seen in the movie of Goodbye Christopher Robin, it talked about how Winnie-the-pooh character brought hope and comfort to England after the First World War. Winnie the Pooh makes people feel calm and secure by its warm smile and knowing everything will be fine. Winnie the pooh was then soon bought by Disney who believes this magic could spread to more people.
Disney Appreciation Society
Like me, Disney fans associate Disney with positive memories from their childhood. Reliving the magic of Disney helps to remember something from our childhoods. We get old, but Disney stays the same, it never changes, which calms us down in the busy life. It’s a place which encourages you to be brave, be kind, be happy and be confident.
The Disney Appreciation Society provides a fun environment for students to make new friends. Together, members feel and create the magic of Disney. It’s a break from the typical environment of university and classwork, which members get along in the warm atmosphere. You can always find friendly and courage in this Disney wonderland.
The society provides a serious of events for members to join and get around with more people. Together, members create magic together and hoping the happy atmosphere will spread into everyone’s life. There are so many Disney songs for you to sing in the Karaoke Night, or you could just sit together with your friends and watch some classic Disney movies.
The society has excellent links with other societies as well which makes members have more opportunities to meet and make more friends. For example, on the 11th of November, Halloween Pumpkin Painting is held together with the Mental wellbeing society, in the event, the pumpkin painting will be combined with Disney Theme and characters, which these funny and cute characters will be spending the Halloween with the members.
