Celtic fan, Aidan MacDonald, 19, recently attended the Celtic v Lazio game in Rome. Despite winning 2 – 1, staying 10 minutes away from a vicious attack was not in his holiday itinerary.
Two men were stabbed in an Irish bar called Flann O’Brien’s on the Thursday prior to the match. In addition to the stabbings, the hooligans smashed the windows of the pub before the shutters were eventually pulled down.
Revellers were then kept on lockdown for a further hour before being let out.
It is understood that the two victims did not sustain life-threatening injuries and are on the mend.
