Come Along For A ‘Volley’ Ole Time!

At the University of Stirling, joining a sports club is about so much more than the love of the game. It’s about honing your skills, learning healthy habits, and making friends along the way! The University of Stirling Volleyball Club welcomes players of all skill levels to come to our open Wednesday trainings to meet the team and volley some balls!  

So, who can come to these trainings, you ask? 

• Anyone interested in joining a sports club at Stirling
• Anyone who has always wanted to try playing volleyball but has never given it a shot
• Anyone who has played for several years and wants to maintain their skill level or improve it
• Anyone who wants to meet amazing people and join a social community connected through the ‘love of the game’
• Anyone!

These practices are for anyone interested in joining a sports club and an awesome community, regardless of prior experience playing. We want to share our love of the sport of volleyball with anyone willing to listen, so come along and see what all the hype is about! 

Love volleyball and just one social training session a week isn’t enough to feed your drive? Check out our women’s or men’s university teams! Tryouts for these official university teams are held at the beginning of each semester. Dates are subject to vary per semester, so check out our social media accounts at the beginning of the semester to find out more information about times tryout times and dates. 

Social events are held for team members, but anyone who attends Wednesday practices are welcome to join in the fun as well! These events are designed to help bond members of the club and encourage a team-atmosphere both on and off the court. From a night out in Stirling to a match played in Glasgow, good communication and sportsmanship are vital to a successful team! So put on your kneepads and join us in the Sports Centre at 18:30 on Wednesdays for a ‘volley’ good time!
