Go International!
“Everyone smiles in the same language.” This is especially true about the University of Stirling and our International Society. Come and meet some of your fellow students from over 120 different nationalities at one of our exciting events!
The International Society is one of the biggest societies at our University, with 165 people from 47 different countries participating so far. Whether you just want to hang out and chat with people from different cultural backgrounds or want to go and explore Scotland – there is something here for everyone! From a Pub Quiz, Walking Tours through Scotland’s cities, and a trip through the Highlands, there is something happening all year around at our society. So stay tuned for this semester’s greatest events:
- Tuesday, September 20: Check out our “Give-It-A-Go” Pub Quiz at the Birds and the Bees pub. Grab a drink and chat with other students while being on the hunt for one of our great prizes!
- Friday, September 30: Come over to our International Cultural Food Night and taste all the different flavours of the world. Just bring along some food from your home country and a huge appetite!
- Saturday, October 8: Fancy a day off? Then come along to our mini-day-vacation to St. Andrews!
- Saturday, October 15: Explore Scotland’s biggest city during our Glasgow Walking Tour and Afternoon Tea. After all the walking and exploring a typical British Afternoon Tea will be just the right ending to this eventful day!
Didn’t find anything you liked in this list or still out for more international fun? There will be more events throughout the semester, such as a traditional Scottish Ceilidh, a pub crawl, and a trip to the Highlands! Check back here or on our Facebook page for more announcements!
